The Shamrock is a staple for the family when we come into Rhinelander. We are always here for their juicy fried chicken. This time I had the chicken and ribs plate and the pork was so tender that the meat fell off the bone (so delicious!) and we of course had to have the Wisconsin appetizer staple: fried cheese curds. Can't wait to be back!
A large group (21) of us came in on 8/9/24. They do not take reservations but I called on our way, a little before 5, and got on wait list. We were seated by 6. The 2 servers were excellent. The restaurant handled our group smoothly & fast. Food came out quick and hot and accurate. As a large group, they will do one bill per table or they were able to combine the two tables bills into one for us.
We stopped at the gas station and asked a young lady in front of us where we should go for a good meal. Without hesitation, she said the Shamrock! She said they had the best people, food, and service. She was right! We will be back! Tony and I shared their gyro burger. More than enough for two.
We stopped in here for a fish fry on a Friday night while vacationing in the area. We were very happy with the place. The place was well lit and very clean. (Our visit was just after the COVID19 lockdown). They had good, clean barriers up around the bar (soft plastic). All of the staff was very friendly and excellent to us. We all had the Lightly Breaded Haddock, which came with a good choice of potatoes. The fish was good and the sides were the standard Wisconsin Fish Fry sides. Overall we really enjoyed our visit here and it looks like it would have a nice nightlife to it as well.
They were so busy since it was Independence Day; however, we were seated without a wait. My husband ordered the pork schnitzel entree and the sauce was exceptional. I had the Athenian Flatbread which was flavored like a gyro. It was good too. I had asked for no tomatoes, but I ended up having to pick all of them off, oh well things happen. We had good service and those workers were running around like crazy. Congrats to a hard-working crew.

Delicious food! Very impressed with everything I've tried! I'm from California and my friend treated me to a few meals from here and I have no complaints! Everything was so tasty! Especiallythe cheese curds and salads! Definitely stop by and give this place a try! Highly recommend!
Unexpected variety of incredibly delicious food. Turkish Kabob is served on a sword. I think of this place as a sports bar with exceptional food. What a find!
